Our Treatment Approach

We collaborate with patients on a variety of health and wellness issues, including relationships, communications, balance, trauma and problem-solving. We provide comprehensive behavioral medicine services, including testing and assessment.

We utilize a variety of treatment options, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). CBT has two main components. One is cognitive, which works to develop helpful beliefs about life. The other, behavioral, helps clients learn to take healthier actions.

 

CBT can be helpful in treating issues and boosting happiness by modifying dysfunctional emotions, behaviors and thoughts. Therapy focuses on solutions and can have many benefits for patients.

As part of our integrative behavioral medicine approach, Mindful Solutions helps patients develop life strategies ranging from coping skills and stress management to various psychophysiological pain management and relaxation techniques.

 

We operate from a cognitive-behavioral, family systems and collaborative psychotherapy approach, using empirically validated treatment strategies individualized to address the patient's concerns. 

 

Therapy usually works best when there is a partnership between patients and their therapist. We encourage patients to take an active role in sessions, which may include goal setting, keeping an open mind, progress check-ins and doing homework.
